Grants up to $5 million available through Future Jobs Fund
 
The State Government's $200 million Future Jobs Fund aims to develop globally competitive industries and industrial capabilities within South Australia. If you're in one of the following growing sectors, you can apply for grants and loans to help you grow your business and create jobs:
  • Shipbuilding and defence
  • Renewable energy
  • Mining, including the mining industry supply chain
  • Tourism, food and wine 
  • Health and biomedical research, including businesses expanding to provide National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services 
  • Information technology
  • Advanced manufacturing.

The Department of State Development is available to provide advice on undertake project and industry due diligence in support of your application. Rolls-Royce RAN SEA 5000 MT30 Gas Turbine
Rolls-Royce Power Engineering Plc (Rolls-Royce) has been invited to bid to provide a gas turbine power plant for the SEA 5000 programme of the Royal Australian Navy, which consists of up to nine vessels. Rolls-Royce invites you to express interest in becoming a supply partner for a complex integrated system solution here.

BHP seeking construction services
BHP Olympic Dam invites new and existing suppliers to register interest in providing construction services to its business operations located at Olympic Dam, South Australia. Construction services may include bulk earthworks, civils/concrete works, structural steel works, mechanical, piping, pipeline, electrical, instrumentation and controls. Register your interest here.

Activity on Carrapateena
OZ Minerals’ ECI contractors are building a local supply chain for the Carrapateena project. NRW Carrapateena - Package 3 is now closed. SEA 1000 Future Submarine
The Future Submarine Program aims to deliver Australia a regionally superior submarine capability, which will be built, operated and sustained with sovereignty.   The program aims to ensure that Australia has the industrial capability necessary to support the build, operation and sustainment of the Future Submarine. This will involve maximising the involvement of Australian industry in all phases of the program without unduly compromising capability, cost, schedule or risk. ICN Project portals are now open for the Department of Defence, Naval Group (formerly DCNS) and Lockheed Martin Australia – register your interest in being part of this exciting long term project.

Gawler rail line electrification
Stage One of the project is being fully funded by the State Government at a cost of $152.5 million and will involve electrifying the rail line to Salisbury, supporting approximately 135 jobs per year during construction. The tender process for the electrification of the Gawler rail line commenced 10 May 2017 with registrations of interest opened to companies seeking to tender for the project. The major works contract in December 2017, and site works are anticipated to commence early in 2018. Registrations of interest from potential sub-contractors are invited on the ICN Gateway project portal here.

Walk the talk with the North-South Corridor
The North-South Corridor project portals have listed a number of work packages for South Australian businesses to express interest through ICN Gateway. To support the potential for sub-contract and supply opportunities, details of successful contractors are progressively being published on the ICN project portals. The 13th annual Resource Industry Conference and Trade Expo hosted in the Upper Spencer Gulf region will be held from 22 - 24 August 2017. This is a convenient way to obtain intel on project opportunities as well as to network with valuable business contacts to get the inside track. The three day conference (commencing with The Mayoral Reception on the Tuesday evening) provides many formal and informal opportunities to rub shoulders with fellow participants, build business relationships and promote your business.
